As a Miami native, I've always associated Missoni to be congruent with beachwear. It could very well be because Miami Beach is so populated with European tourists, that the label has crossed over onto the shore lines of my hometown. However, Margherita Maccapani Missoni, daughter of Angela Missoni, the Maison's Creative Director, is out to transcend the association and eventually build the brand into a viable competitor with a broad range of womenswear that will eventually cross over into accessories.
