Food activists around the country who petition for the use of shopping local have adopted the omnivores idiom into their daily conversations, like sustainability, biodynamic, organic, seasonal, and the newest term, “traceability”, which refers to the food’s journey from farm to grocer to home. This, in turn, provides even more reason for the foodies to be neurotic, albeit correct in their fueled debate that local is better than not.
