Elizabeth Peyton is far and beyond an influential artist of our generation. Her utter talent is in her brush strokes as well as her inspirations. With illustrations of Sid Vicious, Kurt Cobain, and John Lennon, her work ignites a movement all on its own. Her opening at The New Museum for Contemporary Art will mark her first retrospective in the United States, which will feature more than a hundred works by the acclaimed artist.
