Innovator, iconoclast, Michael Jackson set the standard for pop music. He was, despite all controversy, a true legend. He pioneered his way to the top as the king of pop and influenced a nation, including songwriters and performers, whom over the years showed their influences by paying homage to the legend in performances and covers.
