Her vocals are bluesy and dramatic, and sometimes even Gypsy-like with a heavy collaboration of instruments including guitar, synths, harmoniums, all of which Khan plays herself. NY Times visits an East Village costume shop with the piglet nosed front woman and observes Khan as she shops then dines with band mates at Freemans Alley. And, there’s even a zing at Meg White of The White Stripes.
